Jesus Calls the Disciples

Passage: Matthew 4:12–25
Principle: Jesus’ authority over sin, sickness, and Satan demonstrates that He is the Messiah.

Ask your child these questions:

  • What did Jesus ask Andrew, Peter, James, and John to do?
  • What was Jesus’ message?

Help your child apply these truths in the following ways:

  • By obeying the Lord Jesus, who taught, preached, and healed with authority.
  • By praising God for shining the light of Jesus into this dark world.

Next Week: Matthew 8:5–13
