Satan Tempts Jesus

Passage: Matthew 4:1–11
Principle: Only Jesus is righteous and can take away the punishment for people’s sin.

Ask your child these questions:

In what ways did Satan tempt Jesus?
With what words and actions did Jesus respond to Satan’s temptation?

Help your child apply these truths in the following ways:

By resisting temptation by knowing the truth of God’s Word.
By trusting God’s Word when he or she is tempted to sin.

Next Week: Matthew 4:12–25
